DAMPAK PSIKOLOGIS KEKERASAN VERBAL PADA PEREMPUAN BERCERAI DI KENDARI

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengeksplorasi dampak psikologis komunikasi pada perempuan bercerai yang mengalami kekerasan verbal di Kota Kendari. Metode penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif dengan melibatkan lima informan wanita bercerai yang telah mengalami kekerasan verbal. Pengumpulan data dilakukan melalui wawancara, observasi, dan dokumentasi. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa kekerasan verbal memiliki dampak signifikan pada psikologi komunikasi para perempuan bercerai. Dampak ini terlihat dalam bentuk stres dan tekanan yang dibagi menjadi dampak psikis dan fisik. Dampak psikis meliputi perasaan lebih mudah menangis, sering diam, kurang fokus, dan lebih mudah tersinggung. Dampak fisik termasuk penurunan berat badan akibat kecemasan, kegelisahan, dan gangguan tidur. Selain itu, penelitian ini menemukan bahwa hubungan interpersonal para informan menjadi terbatas. Faktor internal menyebabkan penurunan kemampuan komunikasi dan perasaan rendah diri, sementara faktor eksternal melibatkan pembatasan komunikasi yang dilakukan oleh orang lain, termasuk mantan suami. Penelitian ini menyarankan perlunya pendampingan bagi perempuan yang mengalami kekerasan verbal untuk mendapatkan bantuan psikologis dan dukungan dari lingkungan sekitar. Hasil penelitian ini diharapkan dapat memberikan wawasan bagi pengembangan kebijakan yang lebih efektif dalam menangani kekerasan verbal terhadap perempuan bercerai di Kota Kendari
