TREND OUTFIT OF THE DAY (OOTD) DI INSTAGRAM DAN PEMBENTUKAN IDENTITAS SOSIAL REMAJA DI KOTA KENDARI

Fenomena Outfit of The Day (OOTD) di Instagram berkembang sebagai salah satu bentuk ekspresi diri remaja dalam menampilkan identitas sosialnya. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis bagaimana praktik OOTD di Instagram berperan dalam pembentukan identitas sosial remaja di Kota Kendari. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif dengan teknik pemilihan informan secara purposive sampling terhadap delapan remaja pengguna Instagram. Teknik pengumpulan data dilakukan melalui observasi, wawancara mendalam, dan dokumentasi, sedangkan analisis data menggunakan model Miles dan Huberman. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa pembentukan identitas sosial remaja melalui OOTD di Instagram berlangsung melalui tiga proses utama dalam Social Identity Theory, yaitu identifikasi sosial, kategorisasi sosial, dan perbandingan sosial. Remaja menggunakan OOTD sebagai sarana untuk mengekspresikan preferensi gaya berpakaian, menegaskan keanggotaan dalam kelompok sosial tertentu, serta membedakan diri dengan kelompok lain. Penelitian ini menyimpulkan bahwa OOTD tidak hanya berfungsi sebagai tren fesyen, tetapi juga sebagai medium komunikasi identitas sosial remaja di media sosial
